WOMEN'S TEAMS

Corby Steelers 1st team was originally born out of Corby Gems 15 years ago. From moving to Corby Town FC a base was built for women and girls in Corby to have a safe environment to learn and develop their footballing skills.

Throughout the “ladies history” they have played up to East Midlands level and to this day currently sit in the Northants Premier League of the NWAGFL.

In the 25/26 season the team had one if it’s best seasons for many years not only were they fighting for top spot over the season but got to the Semi Final of the County Cup and also Semi Final of the League Cup. The 25/26 season delivered its first silverware for the ladies team as they were crowned NTFA Cup Champions with a fantastic victory over Kingsthorpe Jets.

A team that is competitive but also a very close knit group that enjoy the social aspects. The club has a true belief in player pathways and throughout current manager Phil Toon’s tenure we have seen many of our young players be promoted or train with the 1st team in order to give them valuable insight to open age football. The team currently boasts a great mix of youth and experience and looks to go further in the 26/27 league and cup campaigns.

Our reserves squad was born out of our U18’s and our walking football team in the 24/25 season. As a club we have always used the philosophy of “every player can” and it is instrumental to ensuring that players have a pathway to open age football.

Our Reserves team is the bridge between youth and open age, and the home for ladies who want to keep playing.

For girls moving up at 16, Reserves is where you get adult game time, build confidence, polish those skills, and aim to progress into first-team football.

For ladies with families, work, and busy lives, Reserves is flexible, social, and competitive.

It’s where experience meets energy, where 16-year-olds and mums play together, age-irrelevant, passion, work rate, and team spirit engrained in everyone.
